55+ Ministry
The 55 + ministry at IBC exists to help provide direction and support for the spiritual, emotional, social and physical well-being of those in our church and community who are fifty-five years and over. We realize that our mature believers have so many years of experience to offer in ministry to the local church. We also realize that we are all continuing the Christian growth process. It is the desire of the 55+ ministry to be both a catalyst for ministry opportunities and to be a resource for the growing believer. May God be glorified as we grow and work together in ministry and in fellowship with one another.
Opportunities
TNT
The TNT or Time N Talent is a very informal time of fellowship, friends and of course, food. This monthly noon luncheon takes place on the 3rd Monday of each month in the fellowship hall. The menu is always deliciously prepared by our church chef and the program is always interesting and varied in content. The meal is $5 per person.
Game Day
Game day is held every Thursday. This is just a great time of fellowship for all as we play a variety of table games. We meet at 9:00am and then finish the meeting together by eating pizza together. This is a free event.
Joy Choir
This group is our 55+ choir. We sing weekly at many local senior living homes and other venues throughout the year. The ability to read music or even have a great singing voice is NOT required. The only requirement is a desire to minister to others and enjoy making a joyful noise to the Lord. If you love to sing, the fellowship is wonderful and this is the place for you. The schedule for this ministry varies seasonally.
