We glorify God as followers of Jesus who help others follow Him.

How do we help others follow?

At Immanuel Baptist Church, we strive to be helpful disciples. These are people who are humble learners, everyday neighbors, legacy builders, and prayerful investors.

A Humble Learner is someone who prayerfully submits to God’s Word which leads to courageous obedience.

An Everyday Neighbor is someone who consistently cultivates connections through everyday interactions that instill value in others. We love the term everyday, because we don’t believe God gives us a break from loving people.

A Legacy Builder is someone who leaves an eternal legacy where they live, work, and play by helping others follow Jesus.

A Prayerful Investor is someone who generously stewards their time, talents, and money to expand God’s kingdom. Knowing that God has called us to glorify him as followers of Jesus who help others follow him, we must be wise with God’s gifts.

Our mission is simple. To glorify God as followers of Jesus who help others follow Him. We believe that by being helpful disciples, that we can truly reach our city, state, nation, and world for the Kingdom of Christ. At Immanuel, we want to walk along side you as you become a helpful disciple. Sometimes, a simple mission can be overwhelming. Knowing the right steps to take to fulfill God’s calling on your life can be difficult. We believe that God has uniquely equipped you to reach the people you interact with daily.

At Immanuel, we have a pathway that shapes how we join you in the mission. This pathway is your roadmap for not only how to get involved at IBC, but also how to reach people for Christ.

First, we want you to worship passionately. A helpful disciple worships passionately by consistently engaging in corporate worship to exalt Christ as Lord. Join us for worship Sundays at 8:00am, 9:30am, or 11:00am.

Second, we want you to connect intentionally. A helpful disciple connects intentionally by consistently fostering relationships through biblical fellowship and service. Knowing where to do this at a place like our church may be a little intimidating. We’ve simplified that process for you into a 2-week class called Starting Point. It is the perfect launching point into life at Immanuel. Click here for more information about the class.

Third, we want you to reach personally. A helpful disciple reaches personally by consistently helping others follow Jesus through evangelism and discipleship.

We will reach people with the gospel of Jesus Christ. We will show the love of Jesus while sharing the gospel with the people in the Shawnee area, baptizing them, and helping them learn to follow Jesus.

By 2035, we want to have 50,000 gospel conversations.

Click here to tell us when you have gospel conversations.

We will gather for worship and community. We will gather to worship God and deepen relationships within our community through dynamic small groups.

We want to see 90% of those in attendance involved in a small group or service by 2035.

We will equip believers through discipleship. We will encourage people to engage in relational discipleship with one another. We will help people discover their spiritual gifts and learn how to put them into practice.

We want to see 20,000 people discipled 2035.

We will give our time, talents, and money to God through His church. We will give our time to eternal purposes. We will give our talents to serve and build up the church. We will give our money so the gospel is advanced through ministry and missions.

By 2035, we want to raise $40 million for kingdom work.

We will go into the world on mission with the gospel. We will strengthen existing churches and start new ones. We will go on short-term mission trips. We will send people to fulfill God's call to missions and ministry.

By 2035 we want to plant 1 church, strengthen 10 churches, send out 100 people into full-time ministry, and send 1000 people on mission.
