Music Ministry
The worship ministry of Immanuel Baptist Church exists to fulfill God’s command that His people are to bring Him praise! It is our honor to give God glory through singing, playing instruments, and other biblical expressions of praise. Whether your gifts are in music, drama, visual arts, or media, there is a place for you to serve at Immanuel Baptist Church.
“Shout for joy in the Lord, o you righteous! Praise befits the upright. Give thanks to the Lord with the lyre; make melody to him with the harp of ten strings! Sing to him a new song; play skillfully on the strings, with loud shouts.” Psalm 33:1-3
We provide opportunities for all age groups. In partnership with the children's ministry, we have choirs for children. The challenge is finding the best time. With students, we help them to grow musically as well as spiritually as they serve as a student choir and alongside the adult choir ministry. We are the only church in town that offers a church orchestra on a consistent basis - people that play instruments have an opportunity to use those gifts for the Lord. We also see the value of intergenerational worship, so we seek to not only be in the room at the same time with each generation, but provide opportunities for the generations to lead in worship together.
Children's Choirs - Wednesdays at 6:00 p.m.
Student Choir - Wednesdays at 6:00 p.m.
Adult Choir and Orchestra - Wednesdays at 6:30 p.m.
Handbell Choir - Sundays at 4:00 p.m.

One Proclamation, Many Expressions
Choir & Orchestra lead worship for our traditional service. They also lead in other annual special services such as our Christmas Musical, Carols by Candlelight, and more!
Contemporary Worship Team leads for our contemporary worship services and also participates in leading in other special services throughout the year.
Children's Choir has groups for children age 3 through grade 6. They are the future of our church as well as our future worship leaders. As they learn foundational skills in music, the children have many opportunities to give praise to God and learn to be worship leaders. Many performance opportunities are given as the children learn to express their love of God to music. Children's Choirs meet every Wednesday during the school year at 6:00 p.m.

Jason Henson
Music & 55+ Minister
Jared joined the staff at IBC in 2013. He is married with 3 children. Jared has been at IBC nearly all of his life. He graduated from OBU with his bachelors degree in Music, Bible, and Digital Media and Arts. He has his Master of Theological Studies degree from Midwestern Theological Seminary. Jared is passionate about developing people into leaders for the church and telling the stories of what God is doing in the lives of our people.
In his free time he plays with his kids, watches all the sports, and plays nerdy board games. Click the button below to contact him.
